HOW HIFU WORKS
Our famous 7D HIFU skips the surface to get deeper, where it can truly effect change in tissue. The ultrasound device is specifically calibrated so it provides even ultrasonic waves at a very specific temperature, to the right depth to trigger collagen production.
The heat from the ultrasonic waves causes fibroblasts to produce collagen more abundantly, which naturally firms skin.
WHAT HIFU TREATMENTS FEEL LIKE
Ultrasonic treatments can be a little uncomfortable, like a prickling feeling. This sensation will pass quickly, and it means the treatment is working. You will feel a warm sensation, which will be more intense around bony areas and the eyes.
Comfort will rely on the settings used and the outcome you want, with more intense treatments increasing the discomfort during the ultrasonic pulses. Settings are designed to suit your skin type and the area being treated. Thicker skin tends to see the least discomfort.
WHEN YOU WILL SEE RESULTS
You may see an initial immediate tightening effect, but the best is yet to come. Collagen production is a natural process that takes several months after stimulation, with the initial tightening due to the heat slightly shrinking the collagen that is already there.
The new collagen produced will start to tighten and lift a little more each day, however individual results will vary due to ability to produce collagen (usually related to age), skin condition, and any lifestyle factors that contribute to or detract from strength and elasticity.
WHEN TO REPEAT HIFU TREATMENTS
How many treatments you need will depend largely on how your tissue looks and feels when you come in initially. More sagging means more treatments to get the desired effect. As we age, we naturally produce less collagen, which may mean more stimulation by the device is required for greater tightening.
You may only need between one and four treatments, however over time you will need maintenance procedures to keep the effect, since we age and collagen production returns to normal.
IS HIFU BETTER THAN A FACELIFT?
HIFU is not a replacement for a facelift, but it is a great alternative for anyone who wants facial tightening. A facelift is a surgery, while ultrasound is a non-invasive clinic-based treatment.

DOWNTIME AND RECOVERY OF HIFU TREATMENTS
HIFU at Flourish Beauty is a walk-in walk-out procedure – perfect lunchtime or after-work hour treatments. There are no after-care instructions and you don’t need to do anything to benefit.
You are likely to experience some redness immediately after procedures, but this will dissipate in a few hours. Other temporary side-effects may include some slight swelling or tenderness.

How it is done
The carbon paste is massaged into the face and a high intensity of pulse of light is delivered from the laser destroying the clogged pores. This state of treatment helps to refine enlarged pores which reduce oil secretion and helps to remove black and white heads. This is done together with our signature facial for the best result.

A warm cleanse is applied to your face, neck and décolletage. Once your skin is freshly cleansed you will have a deep exfoliation using Seacreat Thermal Mask.
